The History of Streetwear Clothing By Sabih Javed | Submitted On December 14, 2010 Those were the ending days of 1970's, when a new style of clothing originated from California, influenced by the street art and with the theme "feel free". As we looked back into the history of streetwear clothing we traced the beginning back to Shawn Stussy, the local surfboard shaper of Laguna Beach. He translated his logo into T-shirts that became instantly popular among all. It was considered a more underground fashion because it developed as a response against the bold colors and catchy styles. After 80's the world caught on with this new styling. Japanese introduced a new style with their street art. Designers started designing unique designs.
